The United Nations has recognized the situation in Darfur as "the
world's worst humanitarian crisis." Since the conflict began in
2003, millions of people have been forced to leave their homes.
Relief Beads is a grassroots-campaign selling handmade African
bracelets to raise awareness and money for Relief International's
humanitarian efforts in Darfur. Every year Relief International
supports tens of thousands of refugees in Darfur and donates
millions to crises worldwide. Relief International's humanitarian
programs are essential for Darfur: they operate the second largest
refugee camp, administer medical care at many clinics, provide
life-saving therapeutic care to children, and fund educational costs
for thousands of students. To learn more about Relief

Each and every Relief Beads bracelet provides a significant
contribution, especially for the women and children in Darfur: more
than 40 percent of the proceeds are donated to Relief International
and an additional $1 per bracelet is given to the African artists
who handcrafted the Relief Beads.
Relief Beads symbolize a commitment to providing relief to others
less fortunate than ourselves. We may not always have the
opportunity to change things in our world that need to be changed,
but this is our opportunity
to provide relief to a situation that truly needs help.
Thousands of people across the country have supported Relief Beads.
Funding from Relief Beads has built the only women's center in
Darfur!
